About the Role

We’re looking for an experienced and proactive Credit Officer to join our team and take ownership of a high-volume debtor’s ledger. This role is key to maintaining healthy cash flow, reducing risk, and building strong customer relationships.
You will be responsible for managing accounts receivable, collecting outstanding debts, and supporting both internal teams and customers to resolve account queries efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a high-volume debtors ledger and chase overdue accounts within agreed timeframes
  • Receipting and reconciling payments across multiple payment methods
  • Processing of payment requisitions
  • Sales support, processing manual invoices
  • Uploading of invoices in Ariba
  • Investigate, manage, and resolve account disputes
  • Perform credit checks and review credit applications
  • Reviewing Credit limits
  • Maintain accurate records and complete month-end reporting
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers
  • Ensure compliance with company credit policies and procedures

About You

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar credit control role
  • Proven success in reducing outstanding debt and managing collections
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport and influence outcomes
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent time management and ability to prioritise workload
  • Strong computer literacy and data entry skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • Team-oriented with a strong customer service mindset
